Titan Track Bulletin - March 8, 2015

INTRASQUAD MEET

The Sophomores and Juniors used their depth to defeat the Seniors in the Intrasquad meet Thursday and Friday. The final combined score was 290.5 to 237.5. It was great to see the competitiveness and enthusiasm that both TEAMS displayed. As a reward for the victory, all Sophomores and Juniors who competed will be treated to pizza after the Copper Hills meet Wednesday.
The tough competition resulted in 10 marks making the Titan All-Time Top Ten list. Kayla Rees led the way as her victories in the 100m (12.71, #3), 200m (26.65, #5) and 400m (59.44, #3) dashes all made the list. Anne Petersen’s 16'01.00 in the long jump is the #7 all-time mark. She also moved into the #10 spot in the 100m hurdles running 18.18 in her first attempt at the race. Brenn Flint had a good meet winning the shot put (36'01), discus (122'11) and javelin (75'11). She is already on the all-time list in all three of those events with better marks from last year. Other winners for the Girls were Cidnee Davies in the pole vault (7'00) and 100m hurdles (16.14), Liz Wood, 300m hurdles (57.95), Taya Tobler , 800m run (2:42.4), Isabella Williams, 1600m run (I won’t put her time), and Rachel Griffin, (14:02.7).
For the Boys, three sophomores made the biggest impact on the all-time lists. Dylan Brower cleared 6'00 in the high jump to move into the #6 spot. Kayden White threw 143'11 in the discus to also move into the #6 spot. Hunter Woodhall ran 50.54 in the 400m dash, good enough for the #8 spot. Stephan Olivas threw the shot 47'01, the #10 mark. And Adam Johnson’s 146'04 in the javelin is the #9 mark in Titan history. Colten Yardley had a big meet winning the 110m hurdles (15.34), 300m hurdles (40.30) and 200m dash (23.43). Also picking up victories were Zach Daines, pole vault (10'00), Jake Wakefield, long jump (19'00), Mason Leishman, javelin (154'01), Daunte Atkinson, 100m dash (11.34), Ryan Andreasen, 800m run (2:08.6) and Bryant Edgerton, 1600m (4:50.4) and 3200m (10:45.2) runs.
It was a great start to the competitive season.

COPPER HILLS DUAL

We will not assign what events to enter- just make sure you compete in enough events to get in the best "workout" of the week.
