Titan Track Bulletin - March 10, 2013


OUTSIDE- FINALLY   Let’s hope that we are finished with workouts in the hallways. We will continue meeting in the 2100 hallway to start practice for a few more days, but the workouts will be outside. Dress accordingly.

TRIAL RESULTS   For those who stuck it out and completed all of the trials, good job. As coaches, it was good to see who the real "competitors" are, and who may be a little "soft". Unfortunately, we may have a few too many on the soft side. We realize it was cold and windy- it won’t be the last time we see those conditions. Some just have to get a little tougher. It helps your toughness if you are dressed for the weather.
The winners of the "competitions" were Jace Skidmore and Lauren Garrett for the sprints, and Kavika Fonua and Brenn Flint for the throws.

FIRST MEET WEDNESDAY   We will host Copper Hills and Roy Wednesday at 3:00 pm. To compete, you must have turned in your completed packet ("A" or "B" packet), be academically eligible and have any U’s cleared. If those things aren’t taken care of by Tuesday, you will be expected to help officiate the meet. Everyone should hurry out right after school to get things set up and to get ready to compete. You are not excused from class. I’ve attached a schedule of events.
　
UNIFORMS   Uniforms will be issued Saturday after practice. You must have all paperwork turned in, U’s cleared and fee paid in the office to receive a uniform. You must pick it up in person- no "proxies".

DAVIS DISTRICT SPONSORSHIPS   Syracuse will be hosting the Davis District Championships March 26th and 27th. This will be our first state qualifying meet. We are seeking sponsors for the events to offset costs and to use this as a fund raiser for our program. I’ve attached the information concerning sponsorship.
