Titan Track Bulletin - April 19, 2015

WILDCAT INVITATIONAL

Good weather and great competition (the top three 5A teams in Utah in the field) resulted in some outstanding performances at Woods Cross Friday. By the end of the meet, two school records had fallen, 28 Titan All-Time marks set, and 21 state-qualifying standards had been achieved. Colten Yardley broke his own school record in the 300m hurdles running 38.39, the leading time in Utah this year. He also won the 110m hurdles in 14.87, the #2 Titan all-time mark and #2 Utah time in 2015. Cidnee Davies set the other school record leaping 17'10.00 to win the long jump. She also won the 100m hurdles in 15.22.
In the highlight race of the evening, Daunte Atkinson and Hunter Woodhall battled to the line finishing 1st and 3rd in the 400m dash in 49.21 and 49.48 respectively. Those are the #2 and #3 Titan all-time marks and the #3 and #5 2015 Utah times. Daunte also picked up a win in the 200m dash (22.16, #2 all-time, #5 in Utah) and 2nd in the 100m dash (11.08, #3 all-time). The medley relay team of Mace Kucej, Daunte, Hunter and Ryan Andreasen ran 3:35.35, just missing the school record and turning in the #2 Utah mark. Mason Leishman’s 171'10 toss in the javelin finished 3rd, is #3 on the all-time list and #6 in Utah. He also finished 5th in the high jump, just behind Dylan Browers’ 3rd place 6'00 clearance. Bryant Edgerton had a great meet placing 5th in the 1600m run (4:32.55, #8 all-time) and 4th in the 3200m run (10:06.02). Jake Wakefield picked up points in the 110m hurdles (7th, 16.28) and 300m hurdles (8th, 42.42). Tanner Kutterer’s 16.03 placed him 6th in the 110m hurdles. Mace Kucej was a double scorer in the 100m dash (8th, 11.48) and 200m dash (6th, 22.89, #6 all-time).  Carrick White finished 7th in the long jump at 20'01, #5 alltime. In the shot put, Joel Bolduc (7th, 46'03) and Jake Kealamakia (8th, 44'07) had big PR throws. And in the discus, Ammon Riley (132'02) and Kayden White (131'06) finished 6th and 7th. Colten, Ryan, Loren Burrell and Treston Cullimore ran great legs in the 4x400m relay to place 2nd in 3:31.62.
Kayla Rees won the 400m dash (58.24) and was 2nd in the 100m dash (12.39). She is ranked #3 and #2 in those events with previous better times. Brenn Flint threw 38'11 to finish 2nd in the shot put and won the discus with a toss of 130'11, the #2 mark in Utah. Anne Petersen had a big meet finishing 2nd in the 100m hurdles (15.92), a state qualifying mark, and 5th in the long jump and 300m hurdles. Jentry Skidmore was also busy placing 2nd in the long jump (17'03), 4th in the 100m dash (13.00) and 8th in the 200m dash. Camilla Moses (3rdplace, 9'06, #4 in Utah) and Hailee Swank (5th, 8'06, #7 in Utah, and a one-foot PR) picked up big points in the pole vault. Isabella Williams finished 3rd in the 1600m run in 5:07.19. Kaycee Adams’ big PR of 106'00 in the javelin was good enough to finish 2nd and is the #2 Titan all-time mark. She also cleared 5'00 to tie for 3rd with Emmy Smith. Taya Tobler picked up a 7th place finish in the 300m hurdles (49.48). Jentry, Isabella, Taya and Kayla turned in the #4 mark in Utah finishing 2nd in the 4x400m relay running 4:05.34.
