GOOD WEEK FOR THE TITANS
The season is very busy and winding down- 17 days until Region and it seems like a meet about every day. It’s very important that you do not miss a practice and take advantage of every opportunity to make yourself better prepared to reach your individual and TEAM goals. Do not let yourself or the TEAM down!!!
WEBER DUAL
The Titans split the meet with Weber as the Boys won and the Girls lost. The highlight of the meet was that so many tried new events and were able to find some success. There were many great efforts by several members of the TEAM. Here are just a few of the Lady Titan highlights: Brittney Martin- 1st in the shot put, 34'04, #3 on the all-time list; Katrina Dunlap, Sam Segura and Cheyna Field sweeping the 400m dash; Katelyn Davidson winning the 3200m run.
The Boys captured several first-place finishes. Picking up victories were: Will Haddick, pole vault (9'06); Koa Mo’o, high jump (6'00); Jace Skidmore, long jump (20'03, class record, #2 all-time); Spencer Hull, shot put; (47'00); Bradley Sherman, discus (143'03); Mason Woodward, javelin (143'04, #5 all-time); Jake Garver, 300m hurdles (41.80, #4 all-time); Kavika Fonua, 100m dash (11.50); and Jaxon Hansen, 400m dash (50.85, #5 all-time). Many other PR’s and All-Time marks were established in the meet. In another highlight, Josh Homer won the $100 drawing.
WILDCAT INVITATIONAL
This meet featured some great competition and the Titans showed they could hold their own. The girls finished 7th and the boys 3rd in the TEAM scoring. These were very good finishes as the emphasis was to get some qualifying marks and PR’s instead of “loading” athletes up in multiple events to score more points.
Placing for the Lady Titans were:
Sarah Sperry, 2nd high jump (5'01, ties school record and a state qualifying mark); 5th 400m dash (1:02.33, #6 all-time in her first open 400);

Jake Garver, 7th 100m dash (11.51) 4th 300m hurdles (42.41);
Mike Russell, 4th 300m hurdles (42.41, #7 all-time);
Brandon Yardley, 1st 1600m run (4:25.93, #4 All-Time), 5th 3200m run (10:09.77);
Matt Dunston, 3rd 400m dash (51.45, #6 all-time), 7th 200m dash (23.09, #2 all-time);
Jaxon Hansen, 1st 800m run (1:56.38, state qualifying mark, #5 all-time);
Landon Greenhalgh, 4th 800m run (1:59.83, #7 all-time);
Zaugg, Garver, Watson and Vanderloo ran 43.56 to finish 2nd in the 4x100m relay. That improves on their state qualifying mark. Cameron Dower, Landon Greenhalgh, Dunston and Hansen turned in a 3:30.88 in the 4x400m relay to place 2nd.
This was another good meet to show the progress that has been made by the Titans. But it also shows that there is still much room for improvement.
ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Selected as Athletes of the Week were: Sam Segura (great move to go up to the 400m dash); Jaxon Hansen (great time to qualify for State in the 800m run); Shane Russell (PR in 300m hurdles, returning to form after some tough injuries).

FREMONT @ SYRACUSE
This is our last home dual meet. There will be another drawing after the meet for $100. To be eligible, you must set a PR in an event in which you are already on the performance list.
JR. HIGH MEET
We will host another junior high meet Thursday at 3:00. Everyone will have an assignment for the meet as well as a workout to get in during or after the meet.
DAVIS HIGH INVITATIONAL
This is one of the premier invitationals in Utah. They limit the number of entries- it’s tough to get into. Basically, it’s two meets with the elite competing in the Invited Session in the afternoon. I’ve attached a rough draft of what I will try to get entered Monday night. Let me know if you have questions or concerns or if you will not be able to attend the meet.
HOODIES/T-SHIRTS
These should be in Monday. I’ve attached a list of what you ordered. Pay in the office (make sure they put the $$ in Track) and bring your receipt to my room to pick up your items.
