STRONG IS THE NEW BEAUTIFUL RACE
Reminder of the 5k race Saturday at Jensen Park. It will start at 8:00 am. This is a fundraiser put on by Haley Busby as part of her Miss Utah platform. All proceeds go to the Children’s Miracle Network. If you didn’t pre-register, just show up before 7:30 am to sign up. Incentives: For every non-distance Titan Track athlete that defeats me, I will donate$5 to the cause. This will also include parents of athletes. Also, the fastest male (over 200 lbs) and female (over 160 lbs) "Clydesdale" runners will receive a Titan Cross Country hoodie. And, those who missed the pre-registration deadline for t-shirts will receive a Titan Indoor Track of Cross Country t-shirt.

EVERYONE should show up and run or volunteer to help Haley with the race.

SYRACUSE AT NORTHRIDGE
The Titans split the dual meet at Northridge Wednesday. The Boys came away with a 100 to 41 victory while the Girls fell to the Ridge 58 to 69. Individual victories for the Lady Titans came from Suzy Robertson (300m hurdles, 49.46 and high jump, 4'10"), Alex Harbeck (javelin, 75'02"), Bella Williams (3200m run, 11:53.14 [#2 all-time]) and Brenn Flint (shot put, 33'08 and discus, 100'00")

Picking up victories for the Boys were Jaxon Worthen (110m hurdles, 15.61 and 300m hurdles, 41.78), Landon Greenhalgh (1600m run, 4:38.9), Jake Garver (long jump, 19'01.50" and 200m dash, 23.17), Tom Hill (800m run, 2:08.5), Braiden Tovey (shot put, 44'02.75"), Mason Leishman (high jump, 5'08"), Nicholas Merriman (pole vault, 11'06") and Jace Purser (discus, 118'11").

GRIZZLY INVITATIONAL
40 schools traveled to Logan for the Grizzly Invitational. While it was a long, windy, cold day, it was also a day filled with some great performances by the Titans. The Girls finished up in 15th place and the Boys 4th, just six points out of 2nd.
Mason Woodward turned in the performance of the meet with a 17' PR in the javelin throwing 175'06" to win the event. That is a school record and easily a state qualifying mark. Landon Greenhalgh also qualified for state running a very aggressive race to finish 4th in the 800m run in 1:58.30. Jaxon Worthen won the 110m hurdles in a very fast 15.30 into a big headwind. He also finished 3rd in the 300m hurdles (39.94) and 5th in the high jump (6'00). Nicholas Merriman placed 6th in the discus throwing 127'01". The 4x200m relay of Gus Salazar, Cameron Dower, Ashton Bigelow and Will Haddick finished 2nd in 1:35.16. The medley relay also finished 2nd with Salazar, Dower, Colton Yardley and Landon Greenhalgh carrying the baton. And the 4x800m relay of Tom Hill, Cody Kelley, Parker Greenhalgh and Jeff Reed finished 2nd in 8:52.38.
Mallory Ashby had the top finish for the Lady Titans as she cleared 8'00" to finish 4th in the pole vault. Brenn Flint picked up a couple 8th place finishes in the shot put (33'05") and discus (97'06"). Jaycie Smith cleared 4'10 to tie for 7th in the high jump. Bella Williams (5:29.53) and Sharlie Dimick (5:33.43) finished 6th and 8th in the 1600m run. Dimick, Williams, Sam Segura and Ali Morris teamed up to place 4th in the medley relay in 4:33.17. Segura, Lindsey Bailey, Suzy Robertson and Mallory Ashby finished 8th in the 4x400m relay running 4:29.6. And Adriane McFarland, Maddy Neyts and Becca and Aubrie Jacobsen placed 7th in the 4x800m relay.
